An expert in counter-terrorism and a consummate undersea Explorer Scott Cassel has relied on timepieces for years this recent collaboration of the Deep Dive 1550 is built on the foundation of Luminox’s history with features based on the real-world experiences of Cassell.
Cassell is a renowned investigator in the Humboldt squid, with film-making credits in an array of the world-famous documentaries. Founder of both the SeaWolves and Undersea Voyager project Cassell has been made famous for identifying criminal eco-terrorism acts on film which in turn aid authorities prosecute suspects.

Part of Luminox’s Sea series the Deep Dive 1550 is constructed from Carbonox. The compound consists of a conglomerate of carbon powder in varying percentages. An innovative carbon compound that is three times lighter than aluminium but carries the same hardness and rigidity as steel. Non-metallic, anti-allergenic with a strong chemical resistant to prevents degradation from seawater the compound is ideal for use in moisture-rich environments.

In order to live up to the demands of Scott Cassell, the 1550 watch features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal screen, treated with an anti-reflective coating for superior readability at all times. The crystal minerals used in Luminox screens are specially treated to be approximately twenty per cent harder than conventional mineral crystals.
